Marrone Bio Innovations CEO Pam Marrone Receives Agrow Award

Founder and CEO of Marrone Bio Innovations, Pam Marrone, has received a 2014 Agrow Award for “Best Manager with Strategic Vision”. This award recognizes a manager who through a strategic initiative was able to achieve clearly identifiable targets in areas such as new product launches, new market penetration and company performance.

The Agrow Awards were developed to recognize excellence in the crop protection and production industries. Entries are evaluated using a wide range of criteria by an independent judging panel consisting of a group of experts from around the world.

Agrow held its annual awards ceremony in Amsterdam on October 29. Agrow is a leading provider of news, analysis and data to the global agriculture industry.

Pam Marrone Honored at Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) Awards

SACRAMENTO, CA – The National Association of Women Business Owners Sacramento (NAWBO-Sac), recognized approximately 30 nominees and named nine women as Honorees at the 2014 Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) Awards. OWL nominees are women business owners and entrepreneurs, and leaders of area non-profit organizations in the Sacramento Valley region.

The award ceremony began with the ‘Wind Beneath Our Wings Award’ awarded to Dr. Pam Marrone, founder of Marrone Bio Innovations, Inc. who has been a pioneer in a traditionally male dominated world of bio insecticides. Marrone started the company in 2006 to discover and develop effective and environmentally-responsible, biologically-based products for pest management and plant health. In August 2013, she led the company to be listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

The Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) Awards was established in 1997 to recognize and celebrate outstanding women business owners in the Sacramento Valley region. The event is a tribute to women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders who have advanced the status of entrepreneurial excellence and community leadership.
