Biopesticides—Effective Use in Pest Management Programs

This online CE course covers the principles for using the 245 registered biopesticide active ingredients used in a wide array of agricultural pest management products.

Course Description:
Biopesticides are derived from natural materials such as animals, plants, bacteria, and certain minerals. Biopesticides are considered an effective pest control option for organic crop production. However, they increasingly are being recommended and used as components of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs in the production of non-organic high-value specialty crops such as fruit, nut, vegetable, vine, ornamental, and turf.

If you are a licensed agricultural professional, and would like to receive free continuing education credits related to the topic of biopesticides and their effective use in today’s pest management programs, you can access the convenient, online course and register to receive PCA, CCA and Applicator credits in many states (see table below). It is also certified nationwide for 2 hours of IPM credit for Certified Crop Advisers.
